[MATERNITY LEAVE BEGINS AUG 31, EXPECTED RETURN SEPT 2026]

Tara moved up to the Yukon after an epic 2 month summer vacation (which was supposed to only be two weeks), making the trip from Ottawa to Whitehorse in July 2016. Since moving up North Tara has discovered a love for the outdoors, and spends her free time hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and skiing in the winters. You’ll often find her trusty best buddy - Paisley - alongside her, whether they are out adventuring or taking care of clients at the studio.

In November 2018, Tara opened Evergreen Wellness Studio. She needed a cohesive space to run both sides of her business, fitness and massage, and renovated a mechanics “shed” to suit all of her needs. Within this space you can find a multidisciplinary team of like-minded health professionals working together to create a network of support.

Tara is a graduate from Algonquin College’s Fitness & Health Promotions program, as well as their Massage Therapy Intensive program, giving her a double skill set as both a Personal Trainer and a Massage Therapist. Having both modalities allows her to combine manual therapy and specific exercise to help her clients become the most functional version of themselves.

In March 2024 Tara completed her Level 2 Applied Manual Lymphatic Drainage course through Vodder International. Her skills have expanded to help address health concerns such as sinusitis, whiplash, migraines, epicondylitis, adhesive capsulitis, pre- and post-surgical cases, burns, bruising, trauma-induced swelling (such as a sprained ankle), and various other inflammation-heavy conditions. Unfortunately Tara is not currently qualified to provide lymphedema care, or work on clients with an impaired lymphatic system (ie: node removal).
